Joe Kachelski - Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer, Joe Kachelski has overall executive authority for the operations of WISHIN.
When he joined WISHIN in 2010, Joe had 24 years of experience in the health care and health insurance industries.
He previously held key positions at the Wisconsin Physicians Service (WPS) Insurance Corporation, Physicians Plus Insurance Corporation and the Wisconsin Association of Health Plans.
Most recently, Kachelski was the first executive for the WHA Information Center, a subsidiary of the Wisconsin Hospital Association, where he oversaw the privatization of hospital data collection and reporting functions. Under his leadership a groundbreaking hospital pricing-transparency web site, PricePoint, was developed and is now used in 11 additional states.
In addition, he served as a member of the Wisconsin Health Insurance Risk-Sharing Plan (HIRSP) Board of Directors for ten years, the last as the Chairman of the Board.
He is a 1984 graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a BA in Communication Arts.
Steve Rottmann - Chief Operating Officer
As COO, Steve is responsible for leading all business operations, developing and implementing strategic initiatives, managing customer and vendor contracts and assisting with marketing and sales initiatives.
Rottmann previously worked as the Director of Information Technology at Oakwood Village, an organization that provides long-term care, acute care, rehabilitation, memory care and independent living services to aging adults in the greater Madison area. Prior to his position at Oakwood, he served in various IT roles at the Beaver Dam Unified School District, Badger Bank and Farmers & Merchants State Bank.
Rottmann has a Bachelor of Science degree in Strategic Management of Information Systems from Cardinal Stritch University and served in the United States Army as a telecommunications sergeant (E-5), providing leadership to soldiers in combat during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
Laura Widder - Project Director
As Project Director, Laura Widder is responsible for managing customer implementation projects, as well as managing the implementation process, leading the implementation project management team, and working with new and potential customers. Before joining the WISHIN team, Laura was a consultant, managing projects and performing business analysis in the health care, insurance, and technology industries. She has also worked as a software usability specialist, quality assurance specialist, and technical writer. Laura holds a BA in English – Writing from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Laura also has a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
Cheryl Johnston - Implementation Specialist
As an implementation specialist, Cheryl is responsible for managing customer implementation and customization projects. Before joining the WISHIN team, Cheryl managed projects and performed systems and business analysis in the health care, insurance, and technology industries. Cheryl also has extensive experience managing the program of government regulated projects in the TRICARE division at Wisconsin Physicians Service. Cheryl holds an Associate Degree in Computer Science from Madison College and PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
Keith Hogan - Implementation Specialist
As an implementation specialist, Keith is responsible for managing customer implementation and customization projects. Before joining WISHIN Keith worked as a trainer, application specialist, and project manager in the healthcare software industry. He has also worked as a department and project manager in the print industry. Keith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Communications from Illinois State University.
Nate Hunstiger - Communication and Engagement Specialist
As Communication and Engagement Specialist, Nate is responsible for executing external-facing communications projects in support of WISHIN’s project managers and customers.
Lisa Park - Executive Assistant
As Executive Assistant, Lisa is responsible for enhancing the effectiveness of the Chief Executive Officer by providing administrative support, serving as a point of contact between the CEO and the public, and handling other tasks and projects that are delegated by the CEO. Prior to joining WISHIN, Lisa worked as the Office Manager at Apex Chiropractic, leading office work flow and processing confidential patient information. Lisa’s background includes experience in event planning, customer relations, and leadership development.
